Julie Chen Moonves, who was one the original hosts and moderators on The Talk (a Daytime Emmy Award winning talk show) She returned on August 5 for the 22nd edition. The real love of her life was writing and she was awarded an Emmy. The fact that she hosted an amazing entertainment talk show has earned her another Emmy. The Talk examines contemporary events using the perspective of five female hostesses. Chen Moonves hosted CBS News the early morning news show The Early Show for a 10 years. Before that, Chen Moonves was the CBS Morning News' anchor in addition to being the anchor for news on The Early Show. Chen Moonves was assigned to Cairo after 9/11. She went down and interviewed the father of hijackers to an eye-opening, captivating interview. Chen Moonves has interviewed newsmakers such as former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani and Queen Rania of Jordan, the former defense secretary William Cohen, and celebrities including Denzel Washington, Angelina Jolie, Kanye West, Taylor Swift, Viola Davis, Tom Hanks, Mary J. Chen Moonves is also a CBS Sunday Morning reporter, who has featured stars such as Jamie Lee Curtis. Before The Early Show she was an editor at WDTN TV Dayton in Dayton Dayton, Ohio (1995-1997). She was a producer for ABC NewsOne (1992-1995), the network's affiliate news service in the late 1990s, as well as an assistant desk in ABC News' Los Angeles bureau (1990-1991), while finishing her final year at the University of Southern California. She started her career working as an assistant with ABC News, working on the late-night news program Nightline with Ted Koppel. Ted Koppel remains one of Moonves' journalism idols. Chen Moonves collaborated with Koppel on the Columbia duPont-winning documentary Anatomy of a Riot which was a look at events surrounding the Los Angeles riots of '92.
